About adam nee

Adam is an international set and costume designer for theatre, ballet, musicals and opera productions. His body of work also includes visual merchandising and pop-up shop design for some of the worlds top fashion brands, as well as set and costume design for films.

Adam trained at Central St. Martins College of Art and Design, London, and Wimbledon College of Arts, London, and is currently undertaking a PhD at Goldsmiths University, London, exploring scenographic developments in Prokofiev's opera — The Fiery Angel. Adam was awarded the Noëlle Mann Scholarship for his studies in this area.

Recently, Adam has been designing musicals across Europe. Ghost The Musical and Flashdance are currently on tour in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, and Priscilla Queen of the Desert is on tour in Austria. Adam has worked in Ballet with Derek Deane, Artistic Director of Shanghai Ballet designing two of his productions in Shanghai — Sleeping Beauty and La Dame aux Camelia's. Previous productions include Richard III at Shakespeare's Rose Theatre, Blenheim, The Dinner Engagement and Jenufa, both at Cochrane Theatre, London.

Adam is currently designing costume for Fack Ju Göhte which opens in Vienna in January 2023, along with set and costumes for Frankenstein which opens in June 2023 for Luisenburg Festspiele, both directed by Christoph Drewitz.
